I am L. Todd Spencer a 1993 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Photography.
Currently the photo editor at The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press newspapers 2021 to present.
I was a staff photojournalist from 2000 to 2021.
Freelanced in Rhode Island, Texas, Florida and Virginia in the 90s before taking the staff job.
I have been taking photos since my grandfather gave me a camera to use after I was in the paper at age 5.

I love the art of photography and continue to freelance along with doing art projects on my own away from the paper.
